A module of our own, results we can measure
Put Transitions colours in front of Canadian consumers, with a bilingual contest and a $16,000 grand prize. Previous editions ran on a third-party contest platform — data hosted elsewhere, limited customization, a mandatory cookie banner. For 2026, we brought the whole thing in house.
We built a custom contest module directly in Craft CMS, then launched two sister sites — concourstransitions.ca and transitionscontest.ca — so each market got its own front door. The entry flow unfolds in three beats: the basics, the bonus step, the confirmation. That bonus step triples a participant's chances and puts every interaction to work — picking a favourite colour, a true-or-false quiz that lands five product benefits, and a newsletter sign-up with explicit consent. Every entry is validated at the source, with duplicates filtered out and eligibility checked. On the measurement side, we skipped cookie-based tools in favour of privacy-first analytics — reliable data, no consent banner, Law 25 compliance by design.

The Side•Car team is truly by our side, supporting us in growing our optical market in both B2B and B2C. Efficient, attentive, responsive, always full of great ideas—I never tire of working with Side•Car. The results speak for themselves!
In July, at the campaign's peak, close to 2,500 entries came in from roughly 5,600 unique visitors — more than four visits in ten turned into an entry. A rate that speaks to well-targeted traffic as much as to a frictionless flow. The bonus step earned its keep, with over 1,000 newsletter sign-ups and an average of more than two chances per participant. People weren't just filling in fields: they read, they answered, they chose. The quiz turns a thirty-second sign-up into a real brand moment. The module stays in place, ready for next year's edition, and the data stays with the client.
